I am not your typical photographer. I did not pick up a camera in kindergarten, I actually did not develop a passion for photography until my first child was born in 2004. She inspired me to capture all the special moments through photographs that a regular chain studio could not. What I wanted was all the diverse expressions that I could not have in 7 poses and props. I really strived to tell her life story through photographs. Through the years, I have gone through both formal and informal training alike and have worked very hard to learn proper exposure, manual settings, studio lighting and composition. However, I do not believe I will ever feel the need to stop educating myself. I didn't feel that I was ready for business until I had a clear understanding of what photography was all about. In early 2008 I began my business. My children have really inspired me to work harder and learn more. Their smiles are what motivate me and for that reason, It is my goal to do the same for my clients. I have learned that it isn't so much the smile that generates a perfect portrait, but that it is the expression that makes it such a work of art.
